Resolutions
Goals for the coming year, and the plans that will help me achieve them:
Finish Beyond the Pass, my kitchen themed Fiasco Playset by the end of January
I’ve been working on this during my winter vacation already. I’ve only one season of Chef! and Whites to finish watching, and have a pretty full list for the playset already, though I suspect I’ll need to make a few...

It’s a bit of a pet peeve of mine, TV series not abiding by the rules of their own universe. Been running into this a lot with DS9. The writers seem to keep forgetting the timeline of the Cardassian Occupation. The last instance (in my own run through) was a character who, based on the timeline she gave for her business, would have to have been a collaborator, but the show didn’t treat...

A scene for an RPG session
A small, unfurnished room. A single incandescent bulb swinging overhead. A table, and an overturned folding chair sit at the center of the room. On the table lay a one-time pad, a pencil, a pad of paper (top sheet torn off), and a phone with the receiver off the hook. From the phones earpiece comes the disembodied voice of a number station.

Marker advancement for a LARP
Following up on an earlier idea…
So we have a group of players whose characters are working towards a given project, and who don’t play out the scenes involved in actually making them come to pass. How do we determine if they achieve their goals?
In the previous post I’d mentioned instituting a Marker system. Basically, you agree to perform a favor for someone later in exchange...
